I am a product developer based out of Toronto, Canada. I live with my husband Marco and our springer spaniel, Riker.

After earning my Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature from the University of Toronto, I followed my passion for culinary arts and enrolled in Humber College’s Culinary Skills Program in 2010. During my mandatory internship, I demonstrated exceptional skills in culinary arts, which resulted in my appointment as Assistant Pastry Chef at Jules Patisserie in Toronto after graduation. In recognition of my dedication and proficiency, I was honored with the Jack Hemming Scholarship by Humber College that same year.
In 2012, I accepted the position of Head Pastry Chef at Mabel’s Bakery, a well-known chain of bakeries that has since been acquired by Fresh City Farms.
In 2013, I embarked on yet another internship, this time at the Canadian Living Test Kitchen. In October of that year, I experienced the thrill of having my first recipe published by Canadian Living in both their print and digital magazine. As the only intern in Canadian Living history to have a credited recipe in print, I was especially pleased.
Canadian Living’s Cocktail Fridays: Dragon Fruit Martini by Tyler Christian Brown
“This year, we had a great Test Kitchen intern named Tyler Christian Brown, who we absolutely loved. We loved him so much, in fact, that we had him develop a delicious cocktail for our October issue — and he did a fantastic job. We loved the fresh tropical flavours in this super stylish black and white martini.” – Canadian Living, November 23, 2013
In 2014 the editorial team at National Geographic Traveler asked if they could include my food photography in their June/July 2014 digital issue. Obviously I was thrilled and agreed to have my photo featured. I took it on my first trip to India, before tucking into a plate of momos at Kunga Restaurant in Darjeeling.
In 2014, I joined DOM International, a reputable value-added seafood company in Toronto, as a Product Developer. Over the past several years, I have remained dedicated to my role as the company’s exclusive product developer.
My responsibilities in this capacity are multifaceted, encompassing stakeholder engagement, trend analysis, raw material procurement, and end-to-end product development supervision. Through the development process, I create value-added seafood products for DOM International’s proprietary brands, as well as for Canada’s major grocery chains.
Throughout my tenure with DOM International, I have successfully introduced a diverse range of products into the market, including those available at esteemed retailers such as Costco, Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, Sobeys, and Metro. My expertise and leadership have played a pivotal role in elevating the company’s product offerings and bolstering its position within the competitive seafood industry.
Items I developed for the From Our Chefs label at Loblaws.

In 2020, I developed DOM Poke Singles, which were subsequently distributed to Costco warehouses and Metro grocers throughout Canada. As a result of the overwhelming success of this product in the Canadian market, we embarked on an expansion strategy in 2021, which entailed launching DOM Poke Singles in American Costco locations. This expansion was accompanied by the addition of DOM Tuna Poke to our product portfolio.
DOM Reserve Poke Singles won ‘Best New Retail Award’ at the 2022 North America Seafood Expo.

In the latter part of 2022, I developed the DOM Smoked Steelhead Salmon Ring, a premium product available at Metro grocers across Canada.
