I am a professional cook and recipe developer based out of Toronto, Canada. I live with my husband Marco and our springer spaniel, Riker.

Before graduating from Humber College’s Culinary Skills Program in 2010, I interned at Jules Patisserie in Toronto. Upon completion of the internship, I was hired at Jules Patisserie as the Assistant Pastry Chef.
In 2012, I took on the role of Head Pastry Chef at Mabel’s Bakery. This chain of bakeries has since been incorporated into Fresh City grocery stores.
In 2013 I embarked on another internship, this time in the Canadian Living Test Kitchen. In October of that year I had my first recipe published by Canadian Living in their print and digital magazines. After completing a four month internship, my inclusion in the October issue was icing on the cake!
Canadian Living’s Cocktail Fridays: Dragon Fruit Martini by Tyler Christian Brown
“This year, we had a great Test Kitchen intern named Tyler Christian Brown, who we absolutely loved. We loved him so much, in fact, that we had him develop a delicious cocktail for our October issue — and he did a fantastic job. We loved the fresh tropical flavours in this super stylish black and white martini.” – Canadian Living, November 23, 2013
In 2014 the editorial team at National Geographic Traveler asked if they could include my food photography in their June/July 2014 digital issue. Obviously I was thrilled and agreed to have my photo featured. I took it on my first trip to India, before tucking into a plate of momos at Kunga Restaurant in Darjeeling.
In 2014 I accepted the role of Product Developer at DOM International, a value-added seafood company based in Toronto. I have been there ever since.
In this role, I develop value-added seafood products for DOM, and the house brands of Canada’s major grocery chains. In addition to recipe development, I style our products for marketing and social media.
Since taking on the Product Developer role at DOM International, I have created several products available for purchase at Costco, Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, Sobeys, and Metro. From spring 2015 to summer 2016, I developed items for the From Our Chefs label at Loblaws.

In 2020 I developed DOM Poke Singles, sold at Costco warehouses and Metro grocers across Canada. The success of DOM Poke Singles in Canada led to an expansion into American Costco locations in 2021.

In 2022, my DOM Reserve Poke Singles won ‘Best New Retail Award’ at the 2022 North America Seafood Expo.
